Bail to Deogarh MLA Subash Chandra Panigrahi

Deogarh, : A local court here today granted bail to Deogarh MLA Subash Chandra Panigrahi in connection with the case of assaulting Tileibani BDO Krishna Chandra Dalpati.

Earlier, the legislator was arrested by Deogarh Model Police from Bhubaneswar in connection with the case on May 1. He is currently undergoing treatment at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla.

It is pertinent to mention that, Panigrahi accompanied by a group of his supporters assaulted Tileibani BDO Krishna Chandra Dalpati while he was on a visit to the Bhaliagudi village yesterday. As a result, he sustained injuries on his lips.

Following this, Dalpati had lodged a complaint with the Model Police in this connection. Based on the complaint, police arrested the legislator and took him to Deogarh.
