Gold ornaments burgled from late journalist Arindam Das’s house in Keonjhar

Keonjhar : In a mid-night heist, some miscreants have allegedly looted gold ornaments from the house of late journalist Arindam Das in Patna block of Keonjhar district late last night.

As per the report, the miscreants broke open the window of Arindam’s ancestral house in Raikala village under Turumunga police limits when his uncle and aunty were asleep and barged into the house.

Later, they broke open the almirah and decamped with several gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees.

Following this, Arindam’s uncle Dharanidhar Das has lodged a complaint at Turumunga police station.

Police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter.

Further investigation is underway to nab the culprits, said a police official.
