BSNL Rs 197 prepaid recharge plan: Get data, calling benefits for 150-days

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) recently launched a new prepaid recharge plan that will offer a validity of 150 days. The new prepaid plan is priced at Rs 197. The new plan comes with up to 150 days of validity  and 2GB of high-speed data per day.

The plan also brings free unlimited calls and free SMS benefits for its subscribers. However, there is a condition on the daily data limit and unlimited calls with the new prepaid recharge plan. This plan of the govt owned telcos seems to offer more benefits at a low rate in comparison to other telcos.

BSNL’s new prepaid recharge plan was first spotted by 91Mobiles. This new prepaid recharge plan of BSNL is available under Plan Extension across all circles. The plan is available on the BSNL prepaid recharge website.

The condition with BSNL’ s Rs 197 prepaid recharge plan is that users will only get 2GB of high-speed data and unlimited calls for the first 18 days of the recharge. Post the first 18 days, the data speed will decrease to 40Kbps for the remaining days of validity. However, the SMS benefit will be available to users for the full duration of the Rs 197 prepaid recharge plan that is 150 days.

Users can still receive free incoming calls but id they want to make outgoing calls, then they will have to recharge their number with top ups to add enough balance to make calls.

BSNL’s Rs 197 prepaid recharge plan seems to be one of the most lucrative prepaid recharge plans in India. No other telecom operator currently provides such benefits with their prepaid recharge plans.

Meanwhile, BSNL will reportedly get Rs 44,720 crore as capital infusion from the government during the upcoming financial year. The state-owned telecom provider will also get an additional financial support of Rs 7,443.57 crore for a voluntary retirement scheme and Rs 3,550 crore as grant-in-aid for payment of GST.
