New Delhi, : Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday praised Odisha woman Minati Patnaik, who has donated all her properties to a rickshaw puller in Cuttack.
Sharing the report published on Odia daily Prameya, Pradhan on Twitter said, “Minati Patnaik of Cuttack’s Sutahat area has set a clear example of the definition of relationship in the society. By giving away her wealth to the rickshaw pullers, she has given a kind message to the society.”
Setting an example for the society, the 63-year-old woman has donated her entire properties around Rs 1 crore to the rickshaw puller.
Minati has donated her three-storey house at Sutahat area of the city, gold ornaments and all other assets to rickshaw puller Budha Samal. She executed a Will in favour of Budha. The rickshaw puller, who survives with her wife and two sons, has been serving Minati and her family members (who have passed away) for the past 25 years.
